Each poem arrives in the now, a conversation between herself, the world, and something greater than both. Writing often feels like prayer: listening, capturing, and offering the fleeting sparks of life. Sometimes her poems are playful, sometimes lyrical, sometimes sharp with truth, but always an act of love for language and for preserving a moment in time.Audrey's fascination with people and places began during her university studies in Sociology and Geography, where she explored the patterns and depths of human lives. That curiosity grew into her writing, shaped by a devotion to poetry since her teenage years, when her first poems were published by UBC, SFU, and UVic. Her passion has continued to deepen through travel to 79 countries and years spent teaching aboard the Peace Boat, a Japanese-based floating school that strengthened her commitment to education, connection, and social justice. Her debut collection, Molasses Moments, gathers these lived experiences: travel, friendship, love, loss, and the beauty found in the ordinary.Today, Audrey is a teacher in Vancouver, BC, where she lives with her daughter, Aliya, and their two cats, Tokyo and Waikiki. Her writing is rooted in a deep love of poetry, and in capturing the molasses-slow moments that make life extraordinary. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
