Overview

Six characters (and a cat) in search of a single murder. And all of them with a different victim in mind. That's the situation author Eric Carstairs faces when he sits down to draft out the latest instalment of his highly successful murder mystery series. The trouble is that his publisher wants him to end the series and get rid of the two amateur sleuths who have previously solved so many crimes that had baffled police. With flagging sales, the partnership must now end. But the two characters, Bud and Matty, have other plans. Along with all Eric's other characters, who also don't like the idea of being written off, they start plotting ways to get the author to change his mind. Throw in an unfaithful, bored wife and the result is chaos. It all ends at an isolated cottage in the aptly named Werewolf Forest. But who, what, why and when become so much more complex as fiction encroaches into reality. Who will be the eventual killer? And who's the victim?
