Octavio ""Winkytiki"" Arizala has brought the pin-up back to life in this series of wild, colourful photos featuring hot girls in crazy, colourful kitsch. Like a hooker wearing haute-couture, this is dirty/beautiful at its very best, kitschy Hawaiian sets, vintage decor and everything from Barbarella to 50s Housewife imagined in bright, wicked colours. Winkytiki's images are serene, spectacular, dripping with ultra-Kodachrome saturations and demure smiles. But they are washed also in a provocative sheen of lust and eroticism - a resolute sexual magnetism dancing in the centre of a wicked tempest of radiant hues. In its time, the pin-up adorned school lockers and teenage bedroom walls. Since then, quaintly antiquated, it has been very much a thing of the past, an institutionalised look at a more innocent world of apple-pie desire. Now Winkytiki has brought it back and liberated the innate eroticism it always had with his brash rock 'n' roll photography, wild sets and larger-than-life imagination.
