The authors academic background includes a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communications and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Arts, with a minor in English. Neal Hettinger's expertise grew by working at design firms and advertising agencies in Los Angeles, Nashville, Oklahoma City, and Birmingham. He began his teaching career as an adjunct at Oklahoma City's Community College, where he received the Outstanding Adjunct Professor award.
