The Modern British Army: The Path to Future Soldier, 2010s and Beyond details the Army's efforts to match ongoing reductions in strength with the organisation and equipment to meet the country's defence challenges in today's world. Emphasis is on the period from 2010 onwards: 'Army 2020' to 'Future Soldier.' Author Information

Richard A. Rinaldi is a graduate of Swarthmore College and Yale University. Formerly a human resources specialist with the federal government, he has a long-term interest in military history. His The United States Army in World War I: Ground Units, 1917—1919 was published in 2005; Order of Battle of the British Army 1914 in 2008; and British Armour and Recce in the Second World War: Units, Organization and Equipment in 2013.
