A keen eye for spotting talent and extensive experience in event production give her the ability to develop and place models at leading agencies worldwide and to produce engaging fashion shows and events.Prior to founding the multi-faceted KLG, Karen earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Health and Fitness Education, taught in the public school system, and was a professional fashion model in New York City. Her educational background, coupled with her modeling experience, offered Karen the perfect segue to the business side of the modeling industry, where she was the Director of Scouting for Wilhelmina, Pauline's, and Elite Model Management.Simultaneous with scouting for Elite Model Management, Karen was a major collaborator in the production of the Elite Model Look, a yearly worldwide model search that brought to the industry such top models as Gisele Bunchen, Ana Beatriz Barros, Isabeli Fontana, Alessandra Ambrosio and countless others who went on to have successful careers. In addition, she has appeared as a guest judge on America's Next Top Model.Karen is a certified yoga teacher and enjoys sharing her knowledge of the modeling and wellness industries through teaching and coaching teens and young adults individually, at her Model U 101 Workshops in New York City, as well as at model searches and seminars around the globe.Above all, Karen strives to empower young adults and models by educating, encouraging and supporting them throughout their careers.
