I got a chance to preview this. It's a really excellent and playful book. Extremely readable. It's making me think about becoming a therapist. As a retired social worker who has also worked with abused individuals, I applaud your simple, direct, informative and realistic writing. Good news...I cannot stop reading your book!!!!! My wife and I were still up at 2 AM reading your book... and I had to be up for work at six! The hallmark of Rick's clinical practice was his warmth, his generous spirit, and his creativity. When I was done I felt renewed & reminded that the world is bright and sometimes we just take it too seriously. The hallmark of Rick's clinical practice was his warmth, his generous spirit, and his creativity. We need more therapists like Rick Cormier. Rick was a bit hard on psychoanalysts. Rick Cormier, MEd, LCPC lives surrounded by mountain ranges in the suburbs of Santa Fe, NM, with his wife, his corgi, and his overworked camera. His mindfulness practice consists of drumming in a blues band, two kirtan bands, and a community drum circle.
