Author Information

Having trained as a researcher in multiple scientific disciplines, including Food Science, Nutrition, and Herbal Medicine, Susan's professional experience extends over a broad range of work in education, patient care, and wellness. As both an alumnus of Brigham Young University and Arizona State University, her undergraduate and graduate degrees involved animal research in clinical nutrition and food product development. Her work with individual clients and volunteering as a community nutrition instructor has continued to develop her understanding of individual nutrition needs outside of the research lab. Susan completed her Master Herbalist Certificate in 2013 to expand her expertise and better serve the needs of her clients. Prior to relocating with her family to Arizona in 2014, Susan worked as an adjunct professor in both biology and clinical nutrition at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. Besides teaching the students, Susan helped develop an experiential nutrition curriculum for the Westminster nursing program and has instructed at the Snowbird Continuing Education Conference for physician assistants and nurse practitioners. She continues to conduct corporate seminars and one-on-one consultations. More recently, Susan posts on nutrition topics and tips for eating well at NutritiousInsight.com. Susan's motto: Eating your way to Healthy!
