Mission Impawsible: Operation Enigma: Whiskers Through Time

Overview

Spies, Codes, Invisible Ink. When Lucas and Danny learn about the Culper Spy Ring in school, they decide to make a spy communication device to send coded messages and video between their homes. The Goudaville mice-Eva, Enzo, Sophie, Sebastian, Lucy, and their orphaned raccoon friend Rascal-decide to investigate the humming machine in the attic. One wrong dial turn later...WHOOSH! The little mice take a whisker curling ride through the vortex of time and end up in George Washington's camp tent as he makes plans with Benjamin Talmadge to organize the Culper Spy Ring. Rascal the orphaned Racoon lands in France and has a hair-raising hysterical encounter with none other than Benjamin Franklin. Back home, Lucas and Chloe frantically twist knobs and flip switches, trying to reverse the accident. A shaken Rascal arrives back in the attic but he's not alone! Standing beside him is a pigeon. Not just any pigeon. Lucas recognizes the pigeon. GI Joe is the very pigeon responsible for delivering a life-saving message that saved thousands of Allied soldiers in Italy during WWII. He faces an impossible choice. If GI Joe doesn't return to his own time, history will change-and lives will be lost. How will they know that he got back to the war zone in Italy? Flyboy Bo, Goudaville's resident pilot mouse who volunteers to fly with him... and ends up having the high-altitude adventure of his life. From witnessing a Union spy in Mosby's camp; to Union Spies in the Confederate White House the little mice are pulled into adventure after adventure and learn about the real silent heroes whose secret actions shaped history. At Bletchley Park, the miniature Mouse Corps secretly assists Alan Turing and his team-helping decode Nazi Enigma and Lorenz messages, fixing a critical paper jam inside the Colossus computer, and quietly supporting the plans that will lead to D-Day. With time unraveling whisker by whisker, Lucas and his sister must race to fix the machine and bring the mice home-before history is changed forever. A heart-pounding, hilarious, educational time-travel spy adventure perfect for curious minds and history-loving kids and adults alike!
