Overview

Missing Pieces is the story of twins, Kristine, and Katy, and of the lives that they have, after being adopted as babies, because their teenage mother cannot keep them. The babies are separated, because two desperate couples each want to adopt both of them. It explores the way the girls feel, being brought up by parents, that they find that they have very little in common with, as far as their physical appearance is concerned. It shows how a person can become lost, because they aren't sure just exactly who they are. It shows how, despite having been apart, up to the age of fifteen, the twins both feel that they have had each other, missing from their own lives. Also when they do meet, someone they are related to by birth, they automatically know, in their hearts that they are related to that person, and the DNA test is just for confirmation
