OverviewTransferred from her home in New York City to a rural foster home with an Uncle she never knew, Anna thought she couldn't fit in. A reject mustang colt and a loving community proved her wrong, and now she wouldn't give it up for anything. If, that is, she has a choice. Anna struggles to keep the life she has come to love, while her mother and Child Protective Services decide if she is well cared for. When she needs her the most, Anna's best friend turns her back, leaving Anna feeling confused and alone. Bob, Anna's Uncle and guardian, has his own struggles as his life takes a dramatic shift. He is given a horse, considered dangerous by nearly everyone, and sets about trying to rehabilitate it. With finances tight, and the custody of Anna on the line, what's the point of spending so much time on a useless horse? Hold on tight while Miss Tea spins another exciting tale at Carousel Farms. The ups and downs will keep the pages turning with this second book of the Merry Go Round series. Sparky was cantankerous at best, but that quality taught me and most of the kids in the neighborhood how to ride. He was a patient fellow, aged, and wise beyond human expectations. Often three or four of my cousins or siblings would climb on, imagining the wildest gallop across Grandpa's vast pastures, leaping logs and rushing streams. Sparky, of course, would have none of that. He usually would eat grass or his favorite, the purple buds off of the most wicked of thistles in the middle of the biggest patch of them he could find. When he was full, he would eventually mosey out of there, but we would have to lug his saddle back to the house ourselves unless he happened to be going that way. I did eventually graduate to trail rides on real horses. After that, I studied dressage for many years and did some shows as well. My Merry-Go-Round series is roughly based on horses, people and places from my growing up years. This is my second series of books, the first started in 2015 on a whim that I could write a book. A friend suggested NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). I tried it and loved it. I've been writing nearly every day since. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
