"WINNER -- 2015 AASECT Book Award by AASECT, American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists! WINNER -- 2016 Clark Vincent Award by CAMFT, California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists! Increase your sexual potential to connect on a deeper level with your mate. This award-winning book is for anyone with a desire for more loving relationships and greater self-love. The basic question, ""What comprises hot, healthy sex?"" set us on a quest. Mirror of Intimacy contains a year's worth of daily reflections that explore and support the range of human sexualities as a divine gift and a human right. The reflections reference a rich array of approaches: attachment theory, mind/body nexus, neurobiology, 12-step principles, meditation techniques, Eastern and Western philosophy, and ancient world myths. Unfettered by cultural, social, or religious norms, we set our intention to examine 366 topics related to sex and sexuality. A reader writes, ""Mirror of Intimacy is a 'vade mecum, ' one of those books which you don't let out of your sight. As a psychologist, I am happy to have this magnificent creation to use with clients and patients leading to their enrichment, joy and celebration of life. The book will soon be one of the important therapeutic tools in our field."" It's a promise--these pages will erotically enlighten you and your world!"

Reviews

Mirror of Intimacy stands out from the clutter of meditation books. The writing of Alexandra Katehakis & Tom Bliss is deep and thoughtful, shedding a warm light on healthy relationships. Highly recommended. --Jeff Jay, Co-Author of Love First: A Family's Guide to Intervention. Going through the daily reflections of Mirror of Intimacy is a fascinating experience. This is a book to experience and savor one day at a time. I see Mirror of Intimacy as a vade mecum, one of those books which you don't let out of your sight and use for daily reflection because, centered on sexuality, it touches every aspect of being human. I also see it as breaking through the area of sexual mindfulness, a new positive focus on our complex humanity through our sexuality. As a psychologist, I am happy to have this magnificent creation to use with clients and patients in need of healthy sexual recovering leading to their enrichment, joy and celebration of life. The many people who are sexually unhappy will find in Mirror of Intimacy a real help to discover the beauty of healthy sexuality. The book will soon be one of the important therapeutic tools in our field. --Dr. Daniel L. Araoz, Ed.D, Author of Integrating Hypnosis with Psychotherapy: The Legacy of Buddhism and Neuroscience. Having worked in counseling for the past 10 years, I've yet to encounter any material as powerful, concise and direct as your meditations. I use them in couples therapy in lieu of assigning long articles or books. My couples enjoy the straight talk of the meditations, backed up with personal homework at the end of each meditation. --Dr. Carmelia Lowman, LPC, Savannah, Georgia. I enjoy and look forward to reading your Daily Reflection. My wife of 19 years and I are going through a very rough patch in our marriage and it's uncertain what the outcome will be. Your comments have hit the core of our marital issues; mostly related to our respective sexual identities, desires and the need to communicate, understand and accept each other for our differences. She reads and looks forward to your writings as well. It definitely has made a positive difference at home while we struggle to decide which outcome is best for us and our children. --D.J.L. For myself and for my husband of 57 years, as well as for my patients, your daily reflections are a splendid reminder of what's important as we go through our busy days. They provide wonderful conversation starters as well as bonding opportunities and perhaps most importantly, they serve to motivate us to focus on our intimate relationships. Thank you for a brilliant job, well done. --Marilyn Loevy Spiro, PhD, Richmond, Virginia. I use these wonderful meditations as a practitioner's resource to help my sex and love addicted clients practice daily mindfulness. This homework intervention has proven to be extraordinarily empowering to them and to me as a practicing counselor. I highly recommend these meaningful meditations as a resource for therapists to share with their clients. --Howard Baumgarten, LPC, Denver, Colorado. These meditations, written with the wisdom of a sage, have been the perfect daily dose for healing on my spiritual path to recovery from love addiction. The words are wise, profound and modern. I hope to continue strengthening my character with this thoughtful advice as I begin anew with a healthy love relationship. --Sandra. In a world that is often all too quick and content to shame individuals who want to explore and understand their sexuality and sex, these meditations provide healthy, beautiful and accessible approaches to a healthy, beautiful and crucial part of the human experience. --Noah Michelson, Gay Voices Editor, Huffington Post.
