MIRAGE (Remaque)

Overview

Estragon and Vladimir are both waiting for Godot. Estragon is obsessed with his shoe, which is hurting his foot, while Vladimir meditates on suicide. They are waiting for the arrival of Godot, a stranger whose coming seems unlikely. They don't really know who he is but hope he will provide answers to all their expectations. ""Waiting for Godot,"" this nihilistic play by Samuel Beckett, vividly illustrates the dark world we live in. ""Mirage Remake,"" by Dr Philippe Ewane, much like Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, seems to be of a rather atypical genre. The author takes you on a journey through a form of multidisciplinary romanticism, a mix of ancient philosophy, classical literature, modern literature, and metaphysics. At times, you may feel like you're in a fairy tale, then in a biblical story, and later, the author brings you back down to Earth, into this cosmos with its uncertainties, its tribulations, its wonders, and its unpredictability. Born in the Littoral region of Cameroon, Dr Philippe Ewane is a senior teacher trainer (Professeur Émerite des Écoles Normales). His strengths as a teacher give him an incredible touch in the simple yet captivating use of the French language. In this particular essay, he employs a style that, in my opinion, makes it seem like a box opened by all keys; if you get too close, everything falls apart. This forces the reader to take a step back, to engage their mind to better understand it...
