Minnie & The Better Den tells the story of a puppy who is adopted into the home of Rain, a gentle and loving young boy, and Thump, his aggressive father. After witnessing the beauty of the relationship with Jesus that Rain has, despite the opposition of Thump, Minnie sets out on a quest for Jesus. I have read this book three times so far. Each time, I picked up another gem of faith. It has made me smile and reminded me that there is always hope. A beautiful, well written book with illustrations that bring you wherever you want to go. The writing was easy to understand, easy to read, and disarmingly silly for the message conveyed. The author made Jesus more human and relatable than any adult has made Him in my experience. The illustrations were just right. tt created amazing water colors that were abstract and full. They make great references for something a child would draw, including color choice and the amount of details.
