Wanda Homen is a retired reading specialist who lives in Newark, California, with her husband and mischievous miniature pinscher named Minipini. This little dog delights in taking the roles of various Minpins in the author's books. The writer has had twelve books published about Minpins. Some of these books are fiction, and others are nonfiction. Six other books which she has written belong to the Learning English Series-a humorous collection of stories featuring a Mexican lady named Esperanza and her daughter, Rosy.
