She has conducted seven years of field work in Africa, in countries including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Senegal, Congo-Brazzaville, and Zambia. Her work has been published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution, Political Geography, the Journal of Theoretical Politics, and Perspectives on Politics.
