OverviewThe subject of this work is mindfulness in the psychosocial field. Starting with the phenomenon of stress, it draws a connection to the emotion of fear, which can take the form of panic. The research focuses on the question of the extent to which clients affected by anxiety and panic can experience stress reduction through mindfulness in general and mindfulness-based interventions in particular. Furthermore, the elements of mindfulness and the positive effects of Jon Kabat-Zinn's mindfulness-based stress reduction method in relation to anxiety are highlighted. Building on the theoretical underpinning of the mindful attitude of people working in the psychosocial field, the empirical part of the study uses problem-centred interviews to explore the question of what role the personal mindfulness practice of people working in the psychosocial field plays in their work.
