OverviewAdolescence to Young adulthood is an age of major transition, wherein college students face multiple challenges as they are exposed to various internal and external factors which can result in mental health issues (Herbert, 2013). When students follow maladaptive coping strategies for their mental health issues, it intensifies their problems. The lack of awareness and stigma for seeking professional help leads to development of negative attitude among students to seek professional and psychological help, therefore they prefer informal social support network.
