I'm helping at the Elvish Culinary Guild's grand induction and tasting, and Gilbert, our house-elf at Claus Cottage, has made the finalists' bench with his prized mince pie. Then the celebrity headliner takes one bite of a showpiece pie and drops. Guild security locks the doors while city police sweep the kitchens. Whispers fly: a rival with a temper, an apprentice with something to prove, a sponsor with money on the line, a producer who prefers ratings to recipes. It doesn't matter what else I hear; the police decide the killer is Gilbert. They circle the pantry, question his spice tins, and treat every crumb like a confession. With Mrs. Claus calming frantic caterers and Nick keeping me in cocoa and courage, I start sifting clues--swapped tins, ""secret"" blends, alibis that crumble under heat. Mona Marple is a cozy mystery author and creator of the Waterfell Tweed series. A lover of fine notebooks and fluffy socks, when she isn't creating (and killing) characters, she can usually be found curled up with a book. Based in the countryside in England, Mona lives with her husband and daughter. Charlie Albers is a British-born, USA-based actor with multiple SOVAS and One Voice nominations. She has won a prestigious AudioFile Earphones Award, an AVIA W3 Award (Gold), and has recorded 150-plus audiobooks, including many under her pseudonym, Allie Rose. She has a degree in food science, nutrition, psychology, and consumer behavior and is also a Certified Rapid Tapping(R) EFT Practitioner. Charlie trained and performed at the Bristol Old Vic and Theatre Royal Bath prior to studying food and science, then returning to her first love of acting. She works from her award-winning studio just outside of NYC, where she lives with her family and has acted as a juror in several acting and audiobook awards categories as well as mentoring new starters to the industry. You can hear her in animation, audiobooks, audio dramas, commercials, TV narration, TV/radio promos, and video games, as well as through her work with global music producers. Charlie narrates a wide spectrum of genres, from cozy mystery, romantic comedy, fantasy, and Regency romance to psychological thriller and horror. Charlie lives near NYC with her three kids, two rescue dogs, and one Dutch husband whom she met while living and studying in Europe. She is a trained chef and loves to practice yoga, ballet (she is Royal Academy-trained), skiing, and snowboarding.
