OverviewSometimes it's hard to be the new kid in town. When a bully named Luke makes it hard for Milton to make new friends, he decides to avoid the playground all together by taking harpsichord lessons from the strange old lady across the street. When she hears of his troubles with Luke, she gives Milt magical powers to impress and awe his peers. Full of anger at Luke, Milton uses those powers to bring an army of quilt monsters to life and attack his enemy. He eventually learns that staying angry can wear a kid out and that standing tall and having a positive attitude will win over more friends than trying to out bully the bullies. Written and illustrated by Dave Alden Hutchison, this follow up to his first illustrated children's book, Pegafishkey, employs the same graphic techniques to create artful photomosaics out of scanned images of fabric and other textures.
