He has worked in Intensive English programs at Brigham Young University, The University of Texas at Austin, and Ohio University. He worked as the Program Associate for Measurement and Evaluation for the Overseas Refugee Training Program in Southeast Asia for the Center for Applied Linguistics. He spent one year on sabbatical as Visiting Professor at a university in Costa Rica. From 2001-2002 he served as President of TESOL. He is the author of National Geographic Learning’s Active Skills for Reading series. Jennifer Trujillo received her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, CA. She is currently a professor in the Teacher Education Department at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Dr. Trujillo feels strongly about the importance of culturally responsible and universally relevant readings, with challenging activities, to help all students succeed.
