Michael Fredrick Bartlett, (born October 7, 1980) is an emerging English playwright and theatre director. He is also co-artistic director of Shapeshifter Theatre Company. Bartlett's work has been performed in British theatre and by BBC radio. In May 2007, while holding the position of writer in residence at the Royal Court Theatre, his play My Child premiered there. This production was notable for the unusual conversion of the main house at the Royal Court into a tube carriage. His play, Artefacts, was performed at The Bush Theatre in London in 2008 before a national tour, produced by a new-writing theatre company, Nabokov.
