He received his Ph.D. in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics from Tsinghua University in 2019. He is a recipient of the Excellent Ph. D Thesis Award of Tsinghua University (2019). Dr. Chen's research interest is on particle-laden turbulent flows, particle-based solar thermal technologies, and particle formation during combustion.
