Reviews

The selected topics are quite good. I like the fact that the book does not deal too much on the chemistry of the microorganisms and the overall biohydrometallurgical process mechanisms, (which have all been dealt with significantly in past books) but deals more with the application in the mining and metals extraction industry, the focus on the residues from industry and on the environmental remediation. -Sehliselo (Selo) Ndlovu, School of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa The book covers various aspects of microbes in environmental remediation in the mining industries. It elucidates [a] good interdisciplinary relationship between microbiology and the metal / mineral science. -Pratyoosh Shukla, Ph.D., Department of Microbiology, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, India
