His work significantly advances the understanding of Mediterranean plant ecology and agricultural sustainability. Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Life Sciences at Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence (SSSUHE) in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. He also serves as the university's IQAC Coordinator.
