Overview

Based on the popular trading card format, each deck contains 103 color-coded cards that are organized into five groups: gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. The front of each card displays a unique and focused collection of microscopic and clinical images and the back of the card contains a standardized summary of six key features, including diseases caused, pathogenesis, immunity, epidemiology, diagnosis, and control. There's also an outline of the human body with red markings that show at a glance where the organisms cause disease. Unlike textbook chapters, where authors emphasize different points, the information provided on MicrobeCards is standardized. This makes direct comparison between organisms easy.
