Michigan Barns, et Cetera

Awards

  • Short-listed for New Mexico Book Awards, Non-Fiction (Other) 2011

Overview

This beautifully illustrated book features fifty black and white illustrations of barns, bridges, churches, and other rural buildings throughout Michigan. Each drawing is enhanced by a vignette about the structures featured. The fifty illustrations are suitable for framing and the accompanying vignettes (only one or two pages in length) contain interesting facts, figures, and anecdotes about the buildings. Michigan Barns, Et Cetera is a wonderful book for anybody interested in art and the rural history of Michigan.
