Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, aka Lewis Carroll (1832-1898), was an English writer, mathematician, logician, deacon and photographer. He is most famous for his timeless classics, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. His work falls within the genre of 'literary nonsense', and he is renowned for his use of word play and imagination. Carroll's work has been enjoyed by many generations across the globe. Michael Foreman is one of the world's best-loved children's book illustrators. He has written and illustrated a vast range of books and has collaborated with many leading children's authors, including Michael Morpurgo and Terry Jones.
