Michael Discovers The Secrets Of Jazz is an inspiring children's story about a boy's discovery of himself and his gifts. Michael is facing separation from his grandpop, because the family is moving. Michael and Grandpop are very close and share a special passion for jazz music. Grandpop's stories of bygone jazz musicians from their community capture Michael's imagination. Little does Michael know he's really a young budding musician. As the time for moving nears, Grandpop shares the one secret he never told Michael. Through the wonderment of their nurturing relationship they both learn more about who they really are. Now, Michael takes brave steps forward, as his family moves into their new community.

I created visual art my entire life. Some of my earliest memories include artmaking. This lead to formal art training and graduation from both The High School of Art and Design and The School of Visual Arts. My career began as an illustrator for magazines and books. My earliest technique of drawing and coloring with pencils was used in the creation of this book's artwork. Other mastered techniques include: mixed media, collage, painting and photography. Writing and illustrating books -especially children's is my current focus. Michael Discovers the Secrets of Jazz is my authorial debut.
