Overview

Countering the current climate of ""fake news"" and ""alternative facts,"" Methods of Argument: An Anthology of Readings showcases well-reasoned and well-supported arguments. The anthology's selections model an array of critical-thinking and writing techniques, covering both simple single-point and complex multi-point arguments.

Reviews

The first thing I noticed is how current and significant these pieces are. I also like the variety of topics offered, including body image, technology, politics, and race, to name a few. There is nothing listed here that I would not want my students to read and respond to critically. --Heather Braun, University of Akron I like the diversity of the readings; the mix of classic/foundational and new, ephemerally relevant material; and the balance shown to male and female voices. --Susan Wright, Campbellsville University I cannot stress enough how much I love the selections in Methods of Argument. --Sarah Cote, Alfred University
