OverviewThis software package, comprising a manual and disk, provides a simple approach to learning metabolic calculations associated with exercise and fitness. It features more than 60 metabolic calculation routines for many fitness test protocols used in assessment and programming. On-screen nomograms and graphs help users determine test results and interpret data quickly. The software also includes a tutorial section which guides users through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) fundamentals of metabolic calculations. The package is designed to be of use to health and fitness technologists and instructors. It should also be useful to candidates preparing for the ACSM certificate, and can be used as a supplementary resource for exercise physiology and exercise test technology courses.
