OverviewMetal organic frameworks (MOFs) possess many superior properties, such as uniform porosity, large surface area and pore volume, high thermal and chemical stability, non-toxic nature as well as easily tunable structure, which make them efficient candidates for different applications in gas storage and separation, drug delivery, chemical sensing, catalysis, among others. Owing to the array of metal centers and functional ligands, MOF materials provide the opportunity of developing new types of composite materials with enhanced performance. In this respect, the book presents the synthesis, properties and applications of a wide variety of MOFs developed in the recent years for diverse applications. The book is a valuable reference for polymer, chemical and materials engineers, as well as practicing scientists and researchers in both academia and industry. It is also a useful resource for postgraduate university students in chemical, polymer and materials disciplines, along with interdisciplinary streams.
