Larry Faulkner's 32-year police career began at the Dayton, Ohio Police Department in 1981. He was promoted through the ranks and eventually retired as a Major. During his career, Larry was awarded the Department's Distinguished Service Award for heroism, the Joseph T. Cline Award for customer service, and the Award of Merit twice for outstanding service to the community. Additionally, he and his team of police and community members garnered international attention for various community policing initiatives. Larry and Lisa were married in 1992. The couple set a goal of achieving financial independence early in their relationship. Together, the couple raised their three boys to become financially independent and successful adults in their own right. After extensive research and experience in saving and investing, the couple achieved significant success in creating financial abundance. The knowledge Larry gained has allowed him the opportunity to educate other police officers and public safety professionals on saving, investing, and goal achievement. He also developed an educational class that encouraged new police recruits to save and invest their money from the beginning of their careers, so they might also achieve financial independence. Larry and Lisa retired from their old jobs in their mid-50s with over a million dollars in financial assets. Larry continues educating public safety personnel on personal finance. The couple now set their own schedules, come and go as they wish, and enjoy traveling extensively across the U.S. and abroad.
