Meridians and acupuncture points in Chinese medicine

Overview

The aim of this book is to describe the channels of traditional Chinese medicine and to present the main acupuncture points for a total of 183 points, including 13 points known as extraordinary points as they do not belong to any channel. This will be very useful to anyone wishing to discover the channels and to Chinese medicine students to revise for their examination. We will look at the 12 main channels linked to the organs, as well as the 2 extraordinary vessels, Dumai and Renmai. For each channel, we will begin with a description detailing the element, the season, the direction, the color and the flavor with which it is associated, as well as its physiological functions. We will then present its path with its main acupuncture points, illustrated by a picture. For each point, we'll look at its location, which will be illustrated by a diagram, and then we'll present its therapeutic functions and clinical indications.
