Author Information

James Spears has practiced Chinese medicine and acupuncture for over 12 years. In addition to earning a Masters degree in Oriental medicine he has studied at the Beijing Chinese Japanese Friendship Hospital, Chengdu University, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Hangzhou Chinese Medical University. He has also done extensive internships in eight hospitals throughout China, and has learned from some of China's premier professors and doctors. James has lived in China and Thailand for many years and is extensively involved in learning, teaching, writing, and practicing acupuncture. His current book Meridian Circuit Systems is an integration of Chinese and Taiwanese styles of acupuncture, and it represents a true milestone in the diagnostic and treatment protocols of Oriental medicine. Through his company the Integrative Healing Society, James leads regular tours to China and Thailand. He has taken many doctors, therapists, and students to Asia to learn the healing arts, and is recognized as a teacher of international standards.
