Language: German Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationTheo Santiago is the third of six siblings and grew up in a crowded Catholic family in England. The greatest desire he cultivated from an early age was to conquer solitude. After his studies, he entered the order of Benedictine monks but already in his high school years; he attended a monastery. He always loved to transcribe his thoughts and considerations in diaries that he still jealously preserves today and that he often goes to re-read to check the progression of his-self. As a result, he preferred to abandon the religious path, not so much because of his lack of inclination to follow the rules but because of the little isolation that life afforded him. He found his peace in a small house in Lincolnshire, an area chosen for its beautiful scenery and inexpensive houses. His day begins at six o'clock in the morning with a prayer that ends at eight. Until midday, he devotes himself to writing and calligraphy. After lunch and a short rest in the afternoon, he works at home or in the garden and takes care of his animals, which help him get the necessities of life and food and keep him company. He allows himself to listen to the radio during a light dinner, which is always followed by a prayer. In the evening, he sits in contemplation of the lit fireplace, strolls in the garden, and sips herbal teas and infusions he has made himself.
