Kaye Dennan has a son with a mental illness and has learned during the 15 years a carer a number of strategies that have helped her and the family cope under a wide range of circumstances. Kaye has also been closely associated with carers of family members, covering a range of different mental health issues, as a facilitator of a group called ARAFMI whose purpose is giving support to relatives and family members of those with a mental illness. Although the different mental illnesses present in different ways, the caring of a person is often not too different in actual fact.
