Reviews

'An unparalleled national accomplishment, Mental Disorder in Canada is a vital contribution to what we know about the distribution of mental disorders in Canada. Drawing mainly on the findings of the Canadian Community Health Survey (one of the largest national studies of mental disorders ever undertaken), the chapters reflect the analysis and interpretation of almost every major psychiatric epidemiologist across the country. This is a must read for all who are interested in those types of disorders that cut sharply into quality of life and which deserve more public health attention than they often receive.'--Jane M. Murphy, PhD, Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School, and Professor of Epidemiology, Harvard School of Public Health
