Menstruation is a natural physiological process of a female body like other (respiration, digestion etc) but still it is compounded by shame, secrecy, taboos and myths that prevent girls and women to participate in their daily socio-cultural life. In almost all culture and religion, there are social and cultural rituals, norms and practices about menstruation for girls and women. Such taboos and myths about menstruation impact education and health of girls. Need of the study: The review of literatures show that menstrual hygiene has been routinely ignored by professionals in the water sector, and in the health and education sectors too
