OverviewFocused on gender-based violence (GBV) in Mongolia, this publication analyzes survey findings to explore factors associated with men's use of violence, including their own life experiences, and suggests approaches to prevention. Based on a survey of 400 men aged 18-49, the results of the study emphasize the importance of systemic, intersectional, and evidence-based interventions that include boys and men in the prevention of GBV. The findings highlight the need to ensure child protection and promote more equitable ways to be men. The publication discusses how systemic approaches could challenge harmful masculinities, tackle structural inequalities and economic vulnerabilities, and build safer societies.
