Author Information

Susan R. Davis, MBBS, FRACP, PhD, is a National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia Principal Research Fellow and Professor of Women's Health at Monash University. She has published extensively on women's health research and education, with particular focus on the consequences of sex steroid deficiency and sex steroid therapy in women, and identifying modifiable factors that improve the health and wellbeing of women in middle and later life. Prof. Davis was a member of Monash University Council from 2005-07 and is the past President of the Australasian Menopause Society. She has published over 200 peer reviewed manuscripts and has been an invited lecturer at over 100 international conferences. She has been the recepient of numerous awards including an NHMRC Research Scholarship from 1986-88, the Robert Greenblatt Prize for Research of the International Menopause Society (1993), Barbara Gross Award of the Australasian Menopause Society (2002), and the Australasian Menopause Society Annual Scientific Awards for 2006 and 2008.
