Overview

After being incarcerated for nearly killing his dad due to a psychosis-induced prophetic vision, Cohen Miles-Rath wishes to support others with their mental health challenges. Cohen Miles-Rath, an elite runner and first-generation college student, attacked his dad with a knife. Cohen Miles-Rath is an author, speaker, advocate, and mental health professional. His work has supported mental health related policies such as workforce funding and education. He has facilitated over fifty training sessions, including Mental Health First Aid and Introduction to Trauma-Sensitive Schools. He has spoken to high school and college students, mental and behavioral health professionals, and elected officials, most notably Xavier Becerra, the US Secretary of Health and Human Services, at a 2023 Mental Health Round Table. He has shared his story and expertise for media, including the National Alliance of Mental Illness blog and New York State Capitol press conferences. He holds a bachelor's in sociology and communications from SUNY Geneseo, and a master's degree in social work with a focus on community, policy, and political social action from Stony Brook University. Christopher P. Brown is an audiobook narrator whose passion is using his scripted theater and improvisation training and experience to bring stories and characters to life. He holds graduate degrees (MA and PhD) in literature, linguistics, and leadership studies. Chris is also bilingual, with professional proficiency in both Spanish and English, and can tackle narration projects in either language, or both of them. Chris grew up in western Michigan, and has lived in St. Louis, Missouri, and the Washington DC area, and now resides in San Diego, California.
