Author Information

Ulla Savolainen works as a University Lecturer of Folklore Studies at the University of Helsinki. Her research focuses on minority memories, vernacular memory practices, the interplay and friction between institutional and grassroots actors, transnationality and migration, and memory and social justice. Gunnþórunn Guðmundsdóttir is Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of Iceland. Her research focusses on contemporary literature, life writing, memory studies, and the negotiations of memory and forgetting in culture.
