Language: Czech Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationRobert Vano was born in Nové Zámky (Czechoslovakia) in 1948. Shortly after his graduation from high school he emigrated to the USA in 1967. He started to work in New York as a hair stylist, make-up artist and assistent to fashion photographers (Horst, Glaviano, Fallai) and for magazines like Vogue, Bazaar, Donna, Seventeen, Mademoiselle, etc. In 1984 he started to work as a freelance photographer in New York, Milan and Paris. In 1990 he returned to Czechoslovakia and worked as creative director for the Czech edition of ELLE (1996 - 2003), and as artistic director for Czechoslovak models (2004 - 2009).
