Author Information

Jeffrey Charles Archer (1972-) grew up in Laramie, Wyoming, attended high school in Indiana and Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma Baptist University, and was the Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Connerville, Oklahoma during his undergraduate studies. Archer attended the University of Chicago for graduate school, and then hit the open road to find the truth he found lacking in the establishment and official discourse, via the path of renunciation. Realizing himself a yogi or ""dilettante of a sadhu"" after attending the observance of Shivaratri at the Hanuman Temple in Taos, NM, Archer has continued a mystic's path since, and claims to have experienced many extraordinary if not supernatural events in his mendicant wanderings, the which make up the content of much of his extant writings. Cristina Hipp was one of the fellow travelers who accompanied the author on a few of his journeys. Cristina received her bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University in Biology and Education, and is currently a science teacher at the Nightingale Montessori School in Springfield, Ohio, is a certified massage therapist and a yoga and ballet instructor at the Ohio Performing Arts Institute. Cristina provided the cover photo, taken by a fellow named Quinn. Meredith Heuer grew up in Detroit and spent a decade in New York City. Her work has taken her around the world for publications such as Fortune and Gourmet. Meredith was chosen as one of Photo District News' 30 emerging artists in 2001 and has received numerous awards for her photography including, most recently, a grant for her Beacon Portrait Project from the New York State Council for the Arts.
