Robinson is a distinguished dancer, choreographer, and playwright. She began her theatre career with dance lessons from a Dominican Sister and debuted with Jessie Gibson's Gibsonian Dance Troupe. Robinson holds a B.A. in Dance from Butler University and an M.F.A. in Drama from the Catholic University of America. She has taught at various institutions, including Auburn University, and founded The Tuskegee Repertory Theatre, Inc. Her acclaimed works include BUBBLING BROWN SUGAR and other original plays reflecting African American history. Robinson has received multiple awards for her contributions to the arts.
