The author, a Sloan School of Management graduate from MIT, has three patents and has founded two high-tech companies. In 1986 Larry was the co-recipient of the IR-100 Award cited by Research & Development magazine for developing one of the 100 most significant technical products of the year. His experiences range from complex defense systems analysis to tiny device development. Larry lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico and is keenly interested in AI, ecology, global resources and the science of complexity.
