Meg and Greg: Moose on the Loose

Overview

A decodable book featuring four phonics stories for striving readers, with special features to help children with dyslexia or other language-based learning difficulties find reading success. Join Meg and Greg as they help out in their community, from volunteering at the Blue Moon Animal Shelter and doing house repairs for their neighbor Mr. Chow to organizing a rodeo for the kids at Mount Royal Hospital and running a scary haunted house for the Blue Moon fundraiser. Plus, take a peek inside their community's Little Free Library in a bonus mini story! Meg and Greg: Moose on the Loose is the seventh book in the Meg and Greg series designed for shared reading between a child learning to read and an experienced reader. The four stories inside (plus a bonus mini story!) introduce vowel teams and gliding vowels (long /oo/, /ow/, /oy/, /aw/ and short /oo/). In addition to comic-style kids' pages, highly controlled and decodable prose pages gently increase the amount of text that readers experience and provide even more opportunities to practice the reading skills previously introduced in Meg and Greg Books 1-6.
