Overview

Perseus loves his mother more than anything, so when King Polydectes tries to force her to marry him and only agrees to call off the wedding if Perseus brings him the head of a gorgon, Perseus has no choice but to accept. When Perseus searches for the gorgon he's meant to kill, instead of one he finds three. Medusa, Stheno, and Euryale, who used to be mortal women before being cursed into their current form as gorgons. Perseus cannot go through with killing innocents but is at a loss as to how to save his mother. Medusa, with the ability to turn people to stone, promises to help Perseus stop King Polydectes in exchange for Perseus helping her find a way to break the curse. Perseus, with the help of Medusa and her sisters, journeys back to his home with them. But as they face many struggles along the way, from angering the gods to saving Princess Andromeda from a sea monster, it becomes clear that killing a corrupt king is the least of their worries.
