He earned a Bachelor of Art in Biology from Cornell College in Iowa and a Master of Science in Zoology from the University of Illinois.He later sang with the New Dominion Chorale, and the National Men's Chorus. An elder in his church in Falls Church, Virginia, he lives with his wife, Mary, in Arlington. Dr. James Miser is a Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist and has cared for children with cancer and blood diseases for almost 50 years. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Washington. He has worked at: Ohio State University; the National Institutes of Health; Mayo Clinic; the University of Washington; and City of Hope National Medical Center, where he served as President and Chief Medical Officer. He and his wife, Angela, have adopted 10 children. They live in Wales and attend the Church of Wales.
